Free Website Traffic - Why Getting Web Traffic is Never Truly 'Free'!

One of the greatest myths of online business is that you can get 100% free traffic. Now, I know that when people talk about free traffic, as I sometimes do, they are talking in terms of spending money. That is true. You can get free traffic. But let me tell you why it's never truly 'free.'.

You see, if you want to generate traffic, and lots of it, you need to spend either time or money. If you are not spending money to generate traffic, you are probably spending time on it. In fact, you have to be spending time if you're not spending money. How else will you get traffic to your business?

So if you're spending time, you know, that's not truly free. Time is truly money in business. If you value your time, then you will know that if you spend 2 hours on your marketing campaigns today, that 'cost' you money. That was 2 hours you could have spent working on something that brought you money, so that 2 hours 'cost' you money.

Even a traffic campaign derived from viral marketing is never truly free. If you get traffic from a tell-a-friend form, let's say you get 5 new subscribers from someone who told 5 friends about your website, is that really free traffic? Personally, I don't think it is. Because it cost you time and money to get that first subscriber in to recommend your website to others. It costs you money to buy the domain name and the hosting space so you can generate visitors that will use your tell-a-friend form.

So keep in mind that not all traffic is ever truly cost-free. You are either spending time or money. When you look at traffic generation from that perspective, you will begin spending your resources in a much more valuable manner. And that will bring in even more traffic, leads and profits!

3 Quick Tips For Finding the Best Website Hosting

1. The first and most obvious step is to have some idea of what your basic needs are before going 'shopping'. Often times you will come across a web host that is offering some great deal or promotion that may look like the answer to your prayers but in truth may be totally unsuitable for your needs. For instance there is no point in signing up for latest and greatest e-commerce site hosting when all you want is a simple blog - no matter how cheap it seems at the time. More often than not once the promotional period is over the price will revert back to their normal charges and you will be paying for something that you do not need or will ever use.

2. A subject that comes up time and time again in the web hosting forums is customer support. This can be the difference between a great host and an absolute nightmare! Even if you have been given a recommendation from someone take the time to do a simple 'Google' of their company name and read what people are saying about them. They might have the cheapest hosting plan around with the most features but if you can't get any help when things turn pear-shaped life can be very hard. Look for a hosting company that offers 24/7 customer support with either email or a toll free phone number.

3. Unlimited this, unlimited that. A lot of the 'cheaper' web hosts offer plans which allow unlimited bandwidth or unlimited addon domains etc etc. Although these plans may be suitable for the majority of webmasters what they are in fact doing is over-selling the amount of space on their servers. What this can mean is that if you are pulling in great amounts of traffic or have a whole boat load of sites to host you may run in to some problems with server response and site down time as the server that they have you on is literally overloaded. For the majority of us this very rarely becomes an issue but it is something that should be kept in mind.

Although looking around for the best web hosting may seem a tad daunting if you take the time to educate yourself on exactly what it is that you need great savings can be made!

We recommend you to look at our Web hosting Provider for more information.

Non-Geeks Can Have a Website Too

If you're not a computer "geek" you may feel ill-equipped to undertake such a project. The trend in high speed internet subscribers searching for products and services online is a trend that will not soon go away. There are a few steps to follow that can make it easy for you by "eating the frog" (in the words of Brian Tracey) one small bite at a time.

If you have come to the realization that having web presence for your business is important, ask yourself why that is. It could be any number of reasons:

• Your customers are looking for you online
• You want to reach a broader global audience
• Your products will sell online
• You want to share information over the internet
• The cost per lead generated through a website will be lower than other advertising media
• You want to showcase a particular service

These suggestions can prime you for a good brainstorming session. Take the time to write down all your ideas, no matter how insignificant they may seem. Some of the most unusual ideas online entrepreneurs came up with later turned in "cash cows".

The next step is not to be passed over lightly, because it will shape the focus of your written content and your design layout. The question is: what is your target market? Who are the people that would need or want the information or products you feature on your website? What is the profile of the customers that are looking for you?

• What do they do?
• Do they use a dial up service or high speed internet?
• How old are they?
• What are their interests?
• What is their income bracket?
• Where do they live?

How much time you are willing to put into developing our website. There are ways you can create a free website, but this will not always give you the control you need, including owning the site and all the legal rights that are inherent in that ownership.

Depending on the purpose of your website, the applications involved in building in can range from very simple to highly complex. For example, a site that is purely devoted to information is basic, whereas an e-commerce site requires considerably more knowledge. Do you have the expertise and technology such as high speed internet to create what you want or will you need to outsource it to a professional? What is the budget you have available for this? Once you have answered these questions you have made a quantum leap toward your first website.

Sitemap and Its Importance Today!

Sitemap is the smartest way for a person to know where each of your website's pages are locate. With the help of a sitemap a user does not need to go around your website trying to search the information he requires. A simple look at sitemap will show him the page and a click will take him there. This is simply just the single use of sitemap.

Internet is growing at a breakneck speed, no wonder there are hundreds websites coming up each day, with so many websites there is an obvious delay from the search engines for getting our websites crawled. Any spider bot trying to crawl your website will try and find out as many web pages as many available with your domain names. This consumes valuable time, instead you could tell what your site contains to the robots with the sitemap.

Another advantage of a sitemap, is you can tell the search engines, importance of each of your web pages and how often these are changed. Though this feature does not ensure that the search engines will crawl your website within equal intervals, however, it is possible that your website will get multiple crawls if you change it often for updating information.

Many search engines like the Yahoo and Google, now accept the sitemaps. You can expect your website to be crawled faster with a sitemap rather than those without it. you can find several tools online which can show you how you can create sitemaps all by yourself.

Creating a sitemap:

You can create your own sitemap, however, it is important that you have some prior knowledge of HTML (it is not so difficult to understand though you need to have some time). Sitemap coding can often become a bit difficult, a small space and your sitemap will be rejected by the search engine. When I tried to create my own sitemap, I had to stay up till 2 am and modify the simple sitemap at least 6 times. The sitemap that actually resulted was pretty basic.

However, you need not despair if you do not have the knowledge of HTML, you have many tools online which can actually generate a sitemap for your website. These tools are available for free as well as paid ones. You can study the guidance and protocols for sitemap on the website sitemaps.org

Paid sitemap generators are easy and automated. These generators study your website and create sitemaps that are properly coded and detailed. This sitemap would be very user friendly and would allow the user to steer to the proper page he is looking for.

A sitemap is important part of web development and should not be ignored; web pages indexed in your sitemap have all the chance to be indexed faster.

How to Design a Scalable Website That Can Deal With Growth

It is considered as one of the tricky propositions to build a scalable website. It includes lot of repetition, multiple web servers, with different database servers and backup servers. Initially the connection to Internet flows through a load balancer. Then the load balancer dispenses the traffic as per the procedures, which you will set up as a Webmaster. Usually multiple web servers are used to make the system fault proof. Otherwise, if the server crashes, the traffic could be easily deflected to the other servers. The same policy applies to the database, where you will find a replicated backup, if the database goes offline. But this kind of set up needs a strong financial background.

Although there are various ways to design a scalable website, some of the easiest ways are discussed, which may help your website to grow:

Creating master and duplicated sites: this is one of the easiest ways. You need to create one master site or a main site and some slave sites. The logic behind is to create one main site and then creating replicated sites from it. Everything will be copied even the database and HTML pages.

Use multiple servers: another method would be to use several web servers. In this method whenever your visitor comes to your site, you have to serve the view pages for the user from that server. This process is simple and doesn't require much virtual change to the site. If you have a consistent data, it will be very easily apprehended and implemented.

To develop one content from one server: you can also develop content from a single server and the other one from a separate type of server. To cite an example, suppose you put graphics in a particular server and text content on the other server, this would work well, provided you change the bandwidth location of the web hosting account.

Caching: is considered to be one of the best ways to scale your websites. Here, instead of using the dynamic data, you will be serving static data. And it happens that one or main servers generate all the pages and push them out to the other servers. It will also help you to reduce the load of the data. The user can directly view your site and view the cached part on another server. This method requires two servers, which could be expensive. But the technique is quite simple and effective although it doesn't go along, when it is recommended for sites, which are customized for every user.

Now let's find out how these methods can help you for your website design. You will find a few tips, which are always advisable to use, while scaling your websites.

Divide your website into different sections: you can keep your static content in one directory and the dynamic on the other. This will help you to split the multiple servers easily later on.

Allow pages to use select SQL queries: some less session pages will allow for round robin type web serving.

Don't use hardcore links to other pages: it will help you to update your site, if in any case you change the site location. It is better to keep the internal links in one file.

Utilizing Facebook For Home Or Business

100 million people have joined Facebook since its inception and even if the growth of Facebook has slowed while newer social networking platforms have formed, it is still the choice for political, non-profit and entrepreneurial organizations that depend on social networking as part of their overall marketing strategy. With translation applications, your page can reach millions of users in your network or group all over the world.

But what if the places you need to reach, some valuable demographic, is in a place that does not have DSL or Cable? Satellite internet is available worldwide and in places where cable internet is not such as vessels at sea, in space and mobile land vehicles. Some portable satellite internet modems come with an integrated bluetooth transceiver and can double as a satellite phone.

Specialized satellite internet providers now offer high speed internet and VOIP for yachts and any sea going vessels. Naval groups on Facebook like the US Navy Healthcare and the Merchant Navy groups can stay connected from anywhere in the world when at sea.

Satellite keeps rural areas connected to the mainstream via the internet. For youths feeling isolated on farms and remote areas, Facebook provides a solution for rebellious but internet savvy teens that are safe at home while still having access to their social networking groups. Adults and youths alike can maintain and monitor their own specialized groups whether for business or pleasure.

Facebook has the most varied and widely used apps on the net. With over 250,000 new registrations per day and active users doubling every 6 months millions of internet entrepreneurs are using these apps in the Facebook pages and groups to increase their website online traffic and their sales revenue. In an instant you can find people on Facebook you already know which starts your list of friends. The demographics are better for businesses too as the members are 25 or older as opposed to the young membership on Myspace. There are many advanced apps that you can utilize for data collection and marketing opportunities. Forming groups provides a way to reach niche markets as groups have been formed covering just about everything.

Low ROI, No ROI - Your Landing Page May Be Landing You in the Red

So why are you getting low, or no ROI (Return on Investment)?

Honestly, there could be many reasons. However, badly built landing pages are a major factor in ROI; in fact, you can increase your ROI by 40% or more by improving them. Let's face it; your search engine ranking doesn't mean diddlysquat if you're not getting conversions.

Here's the problem with professional SEO services and landing pages. Nobody agrees on how many types there are and which work better. Some services will tell you there are two main types of landing pages, but, unfortunately, they don't agree on what those types are.

You'll find other services that talk about seven types, or eight. So who's right? The plain and simple truth is that landing pages vary greatly, and the "type" depends on what you're trying to achieve. Here are the two most commonly mentioned by professional SEO services:

• Reference - delivers relevant information to the visitor, and is generally connected to other areas of your website

• Transactional - most common for Pay-per-Click (PPC) ads; it's set up in such a way as to immediately draw the visitor to your "call to action".

As good professional SEO services will tell you, the entire goal of a landing page is to

1) attract visitors to your product and

2) get them to perform your "call to action" - which could be clicking a link to your main website, ordering a product or any number of things.

Even with all the disagreements, though, most professional SEO services do agree on what makes a good landing page:

• The header should be directly related to the search term

• The entire page should be focused on your "call to action". No extra information needed here.

• The less navigation, the better. People's eyes have a tendency to stray away to the navigation; they may even forget about what's on the page and get interested with the links on the page. If you feel it's necessary, put the navigation at the bottom of the page.

• Keep graphics to a minimum. Graphics are distracting. If you choose to use them, make them clickable so the visitor can get more information.

• Try using to-the-point bullets, instead of paragraph copy, for easy scanning.

• Don't ask for more than you need. The more a visitor has to fill out, the less probability of a conversion.

Now that you're aware, look at your landing pages and see what can be changed on them. You might even check with another service company; get a second opinion. Having your landing pages looked at by professional SEO services isn't that expensive, and your ROI may just reach that 40% jump!

If you're wielding the power of social networking sites like Squidoo to brand your business, then you'll want to learn the best way to maximize your efforts. It's not enough the set up a niche account on Squidoo and expect people to click through and want to find out more about you - you have to take it upon yourself to brand your business yourself!

The first thing you want to do is set up your complete profile if you want Squidoo to help brand your business. The profile pages have become more interactive and now appear to be a lens of their own rather than an "About Me" page.

Log into Squidoo and click the Profile tab at the top of your dashboard. You can change your personal info, such as your name, screen name (best to make it niche-specific), your photo (remember - this is a personal networking site), or your bio, which is akin to a resource box that's shown on all of your lenses (where you can add a hyperlink).

The More About Me section can also be altered, and this is where you want to think strategically in allowing Squidoo to help you with branding your business. Here's how to use this section to help increase branding potential:

Featured Lenses

Choose five lenses which showcase your business brand the best. You can create a lensography, which tells a little about each lens that you've ever created, or choose lenses that have a specific purpose in helping to position you as an expert in your niche.

External Links

You can also use Squidoo to link to other domains! This is the perfect opportunity to brand your business and here's what you can add to Squidoo:

Your blog
Your Twitter page
Your FaceBook page
Your eBay store
Your Etsy store
Your Lulu store
Your CafePress store
Your favorite blog ever
One more site the visitor should see
Another of your blogs
Your MySpace page
Your Zazzle store
And one more domain of your choosing

Share My Favorites

This option lets others see all of your favorites if you have it turned On. If you've favorited your own lenses, then all of your own lenses will be showcased.

You can skip everything else as far as using Squidoo to brand your business, except the very bottom of the page where it says, "Social Application Settings." Here, you can enter your Twitter account information if you're trying to brand your business by having your target audience follow you on this mini blogging social network.

Your Squidoo profile page will now be housed at a URL such as:

http://www.squidoo.com/lensmasters/nickname

(Replace nickname with your own Squidoo user ID).

It's important to note that your profile page earns its own PageRank, so any links that you have pointing to your domains from that page can potentially help boost your other sites (and lenses) in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

If you want Squidoo to help you with your branding opportunities, make sure that you also do your part in using Squidoo to showcase the most valuable content and information that you can to your niche.

Right now, you can use Squidoo to brand your business by investing in a professional lens that is built from scratch with 100% original content via http://www.BuildMyLens.com - which includes a single or VIP four pack of Squidoo lenses to showcase your brand and product to your target audience.

The Safest Way to Build Your Backlinks to Avoid Search Engine Slap

Backlinks is the most important thing your website must have in order to rank the number one in search engine, Google to be more specifically. For example, if you type "news" in Google, CNN is on the number 2 in Google, why this is possible although when you visit CNN website, the keywords "news" is very rare to found (it is 2, from my friend experience). So building backlinks is very important to achieve high ranking on search engine.

Unfortunately, there's so many guy out there have no clue about what is the safest backlink level to build each day.

If you overbuild your backlink each day, then expect the search engine slap. That is when you wake up from your sleep on the morning and you found out that your website is delisted from search engine.

The only risk you run if you have a new site and get lots of backlinks, let's say 1500 in the first couple of weeks, unless your website is some kind of major authority site (like the official web site for the next dark knight movie or famous university) then you can expect to get "sandboxed" which is usually a 90 day penalty to fight "spam" I don't really know how they choose to sandbox sites and naturally speaking, the search engine doesn't really talk about it.

From my experience, I will say that on a new site, I say the max is 25 daily, for an old site, 50 is very acceptable daily. More from that number, you must be careful with what you're doing.

Is there's a way to get first ranking on search engine without massive amount of backlinks? Well, personally I say it is 90% impossible.

Fortunately, there's a way for you to have the possible 10% to get first rank on search engine without getting the slap. It is the secret method that my friend apply to get his website got first ranking in any niche that he want.

How Can I Be Profitable and Excel at Ebook Writing?

Ebook writing is one of the most competitive fields in the online arena today as millions of writers are trying to dominate this field. If you are one of them, you better learn these 5 methods that can easily help you excel in this endeavor:

1. Stick with short ebooks. You'll stand great chances of grabbing the attention of online users if you give them something that they want. If you know your target market by heart, you must be aware that these people have very limited attention span and that they prefer short ebooks that can offer them the information they need without wasting their precious time. As much as possible, limit your ebooks to 25-30 pages.

2. Use an outline. Believe it or not, there are still some writers who are not using an outline when writing their content. They become too excited in writing their ebooks that they start without having a blueprint that can give them all throughout. As a result, their creations are left unread online because they do not sound organized and logical. I am sure, you do not want these to happen on your creations. So, I strongly suggest that you prepare your outline or better yet, your table of contents before you start pounding on your key board.

3. Deliver informative ebooks. Online users expect to get their money's worth when buying ebooks. They expect that these products will contain all the information that they are looking for so they can better understand the book's main topic. Do not disappoint them by offering them with complete and in-depth information by obtaining more relevant data from reputable sources.

4. It must be scannable. If you intend to present your readers with one bulk of text, I'd say stop and reconsider. Make reading more enjoyable for your potential clients by making your ebooks easy on the eyes. You can easily do this by breaking your texts using subheading and bullet list and by breaking your ebooks into several short chapters.

5. Use plain English. When writing your ebooks, always remember that you are not up for any literary awards and that you main goal is to make your content easy to understand. Ensure that you use simple terms all throughout. If you really have to use highly technical terms to better get you message across, make sure that you define them using lay man's term before using them on your content.

Finding the Most Popular Products to Sell on EBay

The popular auction site, eBay.com, attracts more buyers than any other website on the Internet today. That is why it is one of the best ways to make money online. There are many sellers competing on the site., and that is why finding the most popular products to sell on eBay and making them available to buyers is the best way to maximize profits.

You can buy just about anything on eBay, but you don't want to sell just anything there. The reason is that if you sell items that are not popular with buyers, your auctions will often end without selling, and you will end up with more fees than sales.

Of all the sellers who sell on the site, those who sell popular products in hot, lucrative niches are usually the sellers who make the most money. They know what to sell, where to get the products, and they know how to get them sold.

Finding popular products to sell on eBay is one of the most important elements for successful sellers. So what are the most popular products selling on eBay? They are not constant but are always changing because buyer trends are always changing. However, there are some things that are fairly constant when it comes to buying trends. One thing is that consumers are always interested in the latest electronic products, especially those that make their lives easier. This is why new cell phones such as the iPhone are always popular.

Other products that are popular with buyers are those that are entertaining. That is why the latest videogame system is always popular with buyers. There are other hot, lucrative niches that are popular with eBay buyers, such as name brand clothing, name brand accessories, and collectibles. Wise sellers are always busy looking for and finding the most popular products to sell on eBay, because these are the products that sell the best.

Is Skype Ready For Business?

Is Skype ready for business? The answer is a solid Yes if you count Skype Extras - third party products that can be used to enhance the basic calling features of Skype. For example, customer relationship-management software vendor Salesforce.com (CRM) has integrated Skype into its application.
The Basic Skype Calling Service According to Skype, more than 30% of Skype users are already tapping the service for business. About 97% of them pay for SkypeOut, which allows for calls from a PC to a phone. Among the business users, about 31% list a SkypeIn number on business cards. That service lets people call into a PC from an outside phone.
Compared with fixed landline, one great advantage of using SkypeIn is that you can answer the call anywhere in the world. Your customers simply call a local phone number (SkypeIn number), and Skype routes the call to your computer, such as your laptop computer while you are waiting for your fight in an airport. Similarly, non-U.S. companies can get U.S. numbers and send their incoming calls to agents anywhere in the world.
The baisc Skype calling service, however, lacks some critical business features, such as music on-hold, auto attandent, automated outbound calls, and customizable IVR capabilities.
Skype Public API The Skype solution for the lack of business features is its open Skype API, which allows third party developers to create products that work with Skype. Since its inception, there are thousands of developers in Skype developer programs, and hundreds of software and hardware products created based on Skype API.
Setup Auto-Attandent As shown in the following video demo, it only takes a few minutes to set up an auto-attandent system for your SkypeIn number using Voicent IVR Studio. The vidio demo can be accessed at Voicent's website.
Setup Custom Support IVR System To design a customer support IVR system normally takes more work. For example, an IVR system might present different options to different callers based on their purchasing history, which normally stored in a company-wide customer database. With IVR Studio, developers can easily implement these features using the tool's extension methods. More information can be found in IVR Tutorial.
Automated Outbound Calls Whether for service reminders, emmergency notifications, or lead generations, you can take advantage of another tool called Voicent BroadcastByPhone Autodialer. To use the product, all you need to do is create your call list, record your voice message, and click dial. The software takes care of the rest, such as leave a message on an answering machine or a voice mail system. It also allows call transfer to any phone number, such as your cell phone number. So when the person called is interested in your offering, he or she can press a key to have the call transferred to you.
Download and Give it a Try
You can download the whole software package and give it a try. There is no time limit on the trial version.

Social Networks For Internet Marketers and Home-Based Business Owners

Facebook is a fantastic social network for home-based business owners and Internet Marketers. Like MySpace, Facebook is a social network and is FREE. To create a Facebook profile logon to Facebook.com.
I simply went to my MySpace profile and cut the about me section and pasted it into my Facebook profile. However, on Facebook it is easier to read your profile if you simply list items instead of writing paragraphs. You'll see this when you look at your profile. It is very easy to edit so don't worry about getting it perfect the first time!
It may take you a little while to navigate your way around Facebook. I had my account for a couple of weeks before I really felt comfortable working within their software.
Join some Internet Marketing or home-based business groups and other groups that appeal to you. After you join a group, look through the members and select some people that seem interesting and send them friend requests.
Facebook has strict limits on friend requests which they will not print - so there are no written guidelines. The general consensus among Facebook users is that the daily limit of friend requests you can make without getting your account disabled is 30 - 50.
I have learned a lot about Internet Marketing from my Facebook groups. Some of the groups offer webinars and tele-seminars with great information and guess what, they are FREE.
I have met some amazingly talented marketers on Facebook and I highly recommend you create a profile on the social network TODAY. Not only will you learn a lot, if you work from home, you'll have some much needed social interaction with other home-based professionals.
When you do, send me a friend request so I can get to know you better!
As you join groups and make friends, you will begin to receive friend requests from other people. Like anything, the more you put into Facebook, the more you get out.

Tips For Finding the Right Web Host

If you are searching for a company to host your personal or business website, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you some of the web hosting horror stories we heard over the years. I am continually amazed at the stories I hear and the number of people who have had to deal with bad web hosts. Most of the stories we hear are about lousy customer support or poor server performance.
One story that stands out in particular is about a web host that closed up shop with out notifying any of their customers. The next day thousands of customers discovered that all of their sites were off-line. The result was catastrophic to many and cost these customers thousands of dollars in lost sales. For many, it took almost a week before they were able to get all their sites back online. If you are tired of web hosting companies with poor support, large amounts of downtime or even a host that has no respect for you as a client then this article is for you.
When considering any web hosting company, the first thing you should look at is where you want your online business to be in the future. Look at things like, how much traffic do you expect? How many sites do you plan to build? What type of server software will you be using? Do you require a dedicated IP address? Once you have established your needs you can begin looking at web hosting companies. If plan to have more than one site or are planning to move a number of sites from one host to another. You may want to consider a web hosting plan that allows your have multiple add-on domains. Alternatively you may want to consider a dedicated server or VPS server.
Selecting the Hosting that is right for you!
Shared web hosting is the most commonly used web hosting service. Shared web hosting permits more than one site to be hosted on the same server. Shared Web hosting is a type of Web hosting service, wherein numerous websites are placed in one component of server which is linked to internet. Every individual website has its own place, section or partition in the server that separates it from other websitesIf you are planning to host a large ecommerce website, blog or forum, a dedicated server may be the solution for you. Dedicated Hosting has a number of advantages to it. First and foremost with a dedicated server you are the only customer on the server. A dedicated server gives you 24x7 control and guaranteed uptime. Normally they are housed in large data centers, where the service providers can monitor them close-up and have hands-on access to them. When purchasing dedicated hosting the customer has the ability to select the software they want installed on the server. Depending on the overall usage of the server, this will include your choice of operating system, database, and specific applications.

Are You Connecting With the Ads on Your Website?

Many webmasters think of the ads on site and the content on their site as being two very different things. In a way of course, they are, but in another way they are very closely connected and it is this connection that we are going to look at in more depth.

The ads for your site are there to add an extra degree of assistance to your visitors. In effect they are a type of resource, leading them to other sites which may be of interest that are on a similar subject to yours. You may also have contextual ads for your site which appear connected to words within your content, and in this case you can connect with them more easily than you would with Google AdSense ads for example, which appear in a different block entirely to your website content.

Options such as in text ads on site that give you links related to the subject of your content can work exceptionally well if you are reviewing a particular item or type of item, because the Ad/ link will then allow the reader to see one of those items and go through to the promoter's website to find out more about it.

This way of connecting with your ads is more pro-active than simply thinking of the ads for your site being completely separate than the site's content. This applies to other types of ads on site as well; if you have an affiliate banner for example, you will be very likely to get more people clicking through to the website connected with that banner if you draw attention to it through a related topic.

In short, you should look at your website as a whole entity rather than being made up of lots of different components. After all it is the sum of those components that the visitors will see, and regardless of the type of ads for your site you end up using, the more you connect with them the more your readers are likely to connect with them as well.

The trick is to be honest about it though. If you try and use the flashing lights and the 'wow look at this!' approach, then people will know you aren't being sincere. A more low key and conversational approach will work better for the ads on your site every time.

Traffic Building Through Email

One of the best ways that you can build traffic for your website is through your email address. There are a couple of ways that an email address can be used to promote a website, and these ways are listed below.
Signature
One of the ways that you can build traffic for your website is through your email signature. It's a great way that you can tell people about your website without seeming as if you are being overbearing. Give a little blurb about your website and your URL, and see what people do with it.
Email groups
Another great way to advertise your website through your email is to join email groups that are related to your website. It's important to remember that you should follow the guidelines that the group moderator has laid out so that people don't think that you are spamming.
Emails to friends
This last way that you can use your email to promote a website should only be used for people who are friends or family. These are people who you know aren't going to turn you in for spamming and who are going to want to know how your business is doing. They are going to want to know what your website address is so that they can see what you have to offer and perhaps buy from you.
Email is one of the most basic ways that you can promote a business, but it's also one of the best. Almost everyone uses email and posting an email doesn't require any special skills, which makes it perfect for just about anyone.

Understanding Pay Per Click Advertisement

Pay Per Click campaigns can be optimized to allow for windfalls of profit, without major costs being incurred. This type of advertising is one of the fastest growing solutions. It requires merchants to pay only when a consumer clicks through to their site. Pay Per Click campaigns, however, are not perfect. Without constant monitoring, refinement, and analysis you can risk incurring advertising costs that are not economical, focusing on terms that don't convert.

Pay Per Click is possibly the easiest, quickest and most controlled way to drive traffic to a web site. The amount of traffic, the type of traffic and the point of entrance for that traffic is all customizable. These search engines enlists members, known as affiliates, to display WebPages called portals, which display various keywords. PPC affiliates will advertise their portals to pay to read (PTR) websites, in the hopes that the PTR affiliates will click a keyword, and then click one of the results.

Pay Per Click marketing is a great way to get visitors when you need traffic and you need it now. But it's risky: With poor management, you can spend a fortune, generate many visits, and end up with nothing to show for it. This type of marketing spotlights your business to potential customers, and turns browsers into buyers. And the best part is you only pay for the customers who actually visit your business Web site.

In conclusion, there are many PPC programs on today's market, and it takes some time to find out which one is the most suitable for you, but one thing is obvious: via such simply xml feed pay per click affiliate program delivers profit to you via your web site by use of matching customers searching for specific information and products which correspond to that information. PPC is effective, but it's still tricky. Make sure you do it right by hiring a consultant to help orchestrate your ad buys.

Email Auto Responder - How to Make Money Without a Website

One thing that prevents people from starting an Internet marketing business of their own is their fear of building a website. This is understandable because most of us do not know how to do it.
However it is possible to make a lot of money on the Internet without a website of your own. The way to do that is using an email autoresponder and building a list of your own.
1. Getting an auto responder to use is very easy to do. You can find auto responders to join as a member for under $20 a month. A couple of good ones that come to mind include Aweber and Get Response. These companies offer tutorials on how to set up your autoresponder for basic follow up.
2. Once you have your account set up you need to go through the process of adding email marketing messages to it. It's a good idea to have a series of messages prewritten that provide useful information around the theme of the product you sell. These messages are not designed to sell the product as much as they are to begin to develop credibility for yourself with your subscribers.
3. Every email autoresponder can be subscribed to in the form of an email address. One thing you can do is promote this email address online in various forms of advertising. For example you can run classified ads and list the autoresponder email address where a person can subscribe.
Another thing you can do is buy co registration leads and let them build your list for you. You just use your autoresponder for follow up and never ever have to promote anything outside of the co-registration leads you purchase.
4. One thing that is very effective is to start a free blog with Blogger.com. On that blog you can include a subscription form to your email autoresponder.
The whole purpose of this forum is to capture contact information for future follow up by your autoresponder. You drive traffic to your blog by either writing blog articles are hiring someone to do it for you.
As your traffic increases so will the number of subscribers you get to your list. Your whole goal is to build a list of thousands of people that you can e-mail anytime you want to.
Notice at this point we still have not talked about having a website of your own. These are a few ideas on how you can use your email autoresponder to make money, even though you do not have a website of your own.

How to Write Autoresponder Emails That Get Top Notch Results

Email marketing is a highly lucrative way to make money as an internet marketer, and one of the easiest ways to make use of this powerful tool is with a top notch autoresponder series. However, many marketers are unfamiliar with how to create a solid autoresponder series. In this article, I'm going to show you how to create an autoresponder series of email which will not only help you build trust with your list, but will also help you to increase the number of sales you make from your email marketing efforts.
Building Trust First - Sales Second
The first thing you have to do if you are going to try and market to a list using an autoresponder series is to build up some sort of relationship with them. They need to know they can trust you before you hit them with a heavy sales pitch and convince them to buy. Remember, a list of subscribers who trust you are worth more than thousands of regular visitors who don't know you at all. As you build that relationship with your list by offering quality content in your autoresponder emails, you'll soon find that you can recommend any product of value to them and pull in a decent conversion. So, the first few emails in your AR series need to be more substance than sales.
This isn't to say that you can't include links to your product pages within the first few emails; only that it is important to make certain that selling isn't the focal point of those emails. Instead, think about the problem your product will solve for your customer. Your autoresponder series should first and foremost revolve around helping your subscribers to solve that problem. Because your ultimate goal here is to make more sales, you don't have to go into exact details on how to solve their problem, a little ambiguity is fine so long as it is surrounded by quality advice, as well.
Within each of your autoresponder emails you want to build a sense of urgency amongst your readers, so that when you do hit them with your sales pitch they are eager to find the answers they are looking for and purchase from you. Do this by continuously building up the benefits of having your product - do it gradually - and by offering small snippets of advice and content from the actual product.
If done correctly, by the time the last email in your autoresponder series hits, and your readers receive that final sales pitch, they will have either already bought your product or be so anxious to do so that you create a steady stream of sales doing nothing more than giving them exactly what they need.
Also, as customers from your leads list purchase because of your autoresponder emails; be sure to move them to a different list, with a new AR series, so that you can sell them on your backend products as well.

Home Business Marketing - Your Own Autoresponder is the Best Way to Build an Opt in Email Campaign

Good home business marketing begins with building and using an opt-in list. When it comes to building your list there are several different ways you can go. I happen to believe that having your own autoresponder is the best way to build an opt-in e-mail campaign and we will talk about that in this article.
You can certainly purchase leads and let other people build your list for you. One way to do that is purchasing co-registration leads. You can even rent a list and send emails to it. All email is one way to do that but is that really an effective way to make money?
Because most people who come to a website never make a purchase it's important that you concentrate on getting their contact information for future follow. Utilizing your own autoresponder is the best way to get names and e-mail addresses for your home business marketing follow-ups.
An autoresponder is an automatic way to send email and takes all the guesswork out of things for you. You can even pre program your whole email marketing campaign in advance. This allows you to concentrate on building your list by capturing names and email addresses of your visitor.
The most effective way today to build your own list is to promote landing pages or splash pages as they are sometimes called. You have probably seen landing pages as you surf around the Internet. You may have even joined a list by filling out a form on one.
A really good landing page captures your attention and makes it very easy for you to provide your contact information. They do this by making you want to sign up for the information that they can provide you.
If you personally have your own product you can still use a landing page to capture contact information before passing them through to your sales page. If you sell other people's products such as an affiliate marketer would do, you still want to do the same process before passing your visitor to your affiliate sales page.
Having your own autoresponder allows you to promote your splash page and then capture the contact information into it. A quality auto responder such as Aweber or GetResponse can automate the whole process while allowing you to build a list that is strictly yours and no one else's.
In your home business marketing efforts, it is so important that your own opt in email campaign is utilizing your own autoresponder. You are not only building your list, you are also building your future with your list becoming an asset you own.

Get Traffic, Incoming Links, and Your Page to Search Engines Quickly With Instant Blog Links

Why should you do all the hard work when you can profit from what others have already done?
Over the last few years, the popularity of using blogs to get traffic, incoming links, and your web pages into the search engines quickly has grown like crazy.
It seems like all website owners have started one at some point.
It's a hot new marketing technique many website owners are finally beginning to take advantage of! It allows anybody to fill their websites with quality links and laser-targeted traffic from some of the most popular websites in your market without paying a cent.
They're one of the most effective website promotion techniques. However, there is a problem you face with them. They're only effective if you've got enough time and patience to consistently post to them.
Due to the time demands of blogs, many website owners end up committing "Blogacide" after only a few short months of posting.
You see, blog owners are in desperate need. They work like crazy, writing fresh new content almost everyday... But, they often rarely get any appreciation or positive contributions to their blogs.
As a result, most blogs are like ghost towns. The only person who appears to be viewing them is the writer.
So, just imagine what you can accomplish if you comment in hundreds of different blogs in your niche WITHOUT slaving away for hours on end. What would happen?
You can gain up to thousands of backlinks with anchor text (the key to getting ranked for the terms you want), hundreds, even thousands of targeted visitors, and search engines spiders flooding into your website (as they love to suck-up links around each blog).
Comment of blog, a way to countless quick backlinks, a way of getting loads of targeted visitors, and a rapid surge of search engine spiders.
It all has to do with a little-known way of profiting from other people's blogs. And, as you may know, blogs are one of the most powerful online marketing techniques because they, blogs allow you to get higher search engine positions more often than normal web pages. Attract search engine spiders to get any page you want visited by the search spiders in mere hours or days. And fill your sales pages with targeted visitors interested who've just been devouring your content.
Instant Blog Links is your ultimate solution to easily tap into an unlimited supply of FREE quality links any time you want! What's more, they're from some of the most popular content websites in your market!
Instant Blog Links allows you to quickly and easily submit useful comments to all of your favorite high PR blogs throughout your market. Finally, you can get your pages visited by the search engine spiders in minimal time and rise to the top of the search rankings with ease!
Instant Blog Links is a new tool that promises to allow you to get all of the benefits blogs provide by taking advantage of other people's blogs in your market.
It works in 3 steps:
1. First, it finds hundreds of blogs in your market. 2. Next, it allows you to easily identify which ones have the highest page rank (they're often the ones with the most traffic). 3. Then, it allows you to create personalized comments for each blog with a few clicks of your mouse.
In other words, this tool transforms a job that would have taken hundreds of tedious hours and allows you to get it done quickly and easily! Not to mention, overtime, the amount of incoming links pouring into your site grows by leaps and bounds.
An important note here is that you want to personalize your comments to each blog. Do NOT place ads or they either will be quickly removed or never approved by the blog owner in the first place. You must submit quality comments to get any results from this tool.
The proper and most effective way to include a link to your web pages is in the form of a signature after your name and a useful comment.
But, does Instant Blog Links live up to expectations?
The answer is it is a lot more effective, quicker, and easier than doing all of the work yourself. Instead, of creating countless blogs, you take advantage of the work other people already done!
All you have to do is come-up with a high-quality comment for each blog to get it approved by the blog owner. Then, put your link after your name, and watch the traffic quickly pour in!
This tool is easy to use and a huge time saver. Without it, submitting to all of the popular blogs in your markets is virtually impossible.

How to Discover Your Perfect Target Market Online

If you are hoping to market your product, service, or business to the world, then you can start online. The World Wide Web houses many different kinds of people, and thanks to the power of technology, you have a lot of tools at your disposal to help you get people's attention and to contact the masses much faster.
However, you cannot simply make a shot in the dark and start sending out a lot of emails to random people in a bid to increase your popularity. You will need to find your target market, talk directly to them, and when you have their attention, convert that attention to purchases and profit.
But how can you find your target market online? In the world of the Internet, anonymity is possible, and you can never tell if the person to whom you are speaking is actually part of the segment you are trying to reach, pretending to be a part of it, or even someone who is part of it but does not have the enthusiasm that you are looking for. There are techniques, however, for you to find your target market online.
First, you will need tips on how to identify what it is.
- What are you selling and who exactly is it for? You may be tempted to say that your product or service will be for everyone, but you need to keep in mind that only a certain demographic will be able to afford it, and will have the right educational, familial, and personal background in order to enjoy it and come back for more. You need to do research on who this market is.
- Who can afford it? Sometimes, buying something is not a matter of taste, but of purchasing power. Be sure to take this into consideration.
- Be sure to consult surveys on the population of people who use the Internet for certain purposes. If you find that your target market does not use the internet primarily for making purchases or for doing things that will make you more money, then you might not invest too much in the Internet as your marketing vehicle.
When you finally have a firm hold on what you define as your target market, it is time for you to start hunting for them online. Here are a few places that you can search in when you want to start contacting these people.
- Social networks, such as Facebook or LinkedIn, can be great places for you to start your search. Such places will sometimes list people's favorite things, and you can start contacting people from there.
- Forums and message boards are also another way for you to start your marketing efforts. Forums will often be organized according to common interests, and if you are aware of the interests of your target market, or if you can find a forum that includes your product or service as an interest, then you should join that forum and start helping people out. That way, they know that you care about what they think, way before you start selling them anything.
- Ezine lists are also a good way for you to reach out to people. You only need to join an ezine list where the people gathered there are interested in your product or service. Do not spam, or you risk getting kicked out, which will definitely tarnish your reputation.
So, the key to making your internet business work is to determine who your target market is FIRST, locate where they hang out and then offer help and assistance to them without hard-selling them up front. Show people you care about their needs and you will be the one they go to when it's time to buy!

Drive Traffic to Your Website Using Free Classified Advertising Websites

Free classified web sites have made a come back as it pertains to advertising online products. When the Internet first became really popular, marketers could promote their wares on free classified web sites, drive a lot of traffic to their sites and make some easy sales. However, after five years or so, this became virtually ineffective. There were so many ads on these sites that they really got bogged down with junk and people stopped looking through them to make purchases. However, web sites like Craigslist, Kijiji and Backpage have brought back life to free classified advertising. In fact, today they are a good way to promote one's products or services.
Now, the original problems associated with free classified advertising continue to crop up. As more and more marketers realize the amount of traffic that they can drive to their site using free classified web sites, there have been a lot more junk posts and spamming. Different web sites have taken various measures to prevent this. Craigslist has really made a tremendous effort, and today require phone number verification before an individual can even create an account. You can not post in some places without first having an account and verifying your phone number. While this might be disheartening for spammers, this is really great for legitimate Internet marketers. If you post you are ads in the right categories and don't spam then you don't have to worry about getting in trouble or your ads not showing up. Of course, someone can always flag you. The less spam that shows up on these sites means more traffic for you.
To be successful using free classified web sites, you need to create a great headline, give away something free and capture e-mail addresses. Creating a good headline simply involves crafting one that stands out. Perhaps ask question, make a claim using interesting language and be a little over the top. You don't want to lie but you will need to grab the reader's attention.
Give away something free. Free reports are a good way he to attract readers. If you can afford to give away a physical product, that's even better. However, free information usually works well. Make sure that you really give them something that they can benefit from. If you give them something that is half baked or a bunch of fluff, they won't be motivated to purchase something from you, especially if you try to up-sell them in your report. The Internet has been around long enough that people can quickly determine detect a pre-sell.
Capture e-mail addresses whenever you can. You may not want to take readers to your squeeze page right away. However, you may want to provide a link in your free report or give them the option of signing up for your newsletter by placing an advertisement to join at a prominent position on your web site. Of course, you can always take them directly to squeeze page and require them to provide you with their email address before they can receive your report or join your list.
Another really good tip when using classified ads is to use the vacation response feature in your e-mail. Once someone responds to your e-mail, thy will automatically be sent a message that you have already crafted. In this message, you can send them to your squeeze page, to your web site or wherever you want. This will be done automatically. Therefore, you do not have to worry about checking your email and responding. It will be done automatically for you.

5 Secrets of Local Search Marketing Success

Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Ask and other search engines provide tools to help businesses advertise when consumers search for certain products and services. This new form of direct response advertising matches interested consumers with businesses, creating potential for very effective advertising and dramatic sales results that follow. However, the secrets to success are hidden in the execution and management of campaigns.
Creating a truly effective marketing campaign online takes a lot of work that consumes a great deal of time for small business owner. Simply having a website will be suitable to many, but this is hardly relevant if it is poorly designed, hard to use, or bland. The process starts with having a website but never truly ends. Maintaining the site, targeting an audience, tracking statistics of visitors and other factors have to be employed to grow your business in the information age.
Keep in mind though, if you're not not planning to dedicate the resources and time to testing and analyzing results, you probably should not even begin a campaign. Even with the virtually endless advances in computer technology over the last decade, testing is the only repeatedly proven way to learn what works and what does not. This mystery game is what makes online advertising so exciting because when done right. it forces you, the business owner, to constantly innovate to build your client base and revenue. If done correctly, the sky is truly the limit.
1. Quality over Quantity-do not be misled by increased traffic. With all the benefits that search engines bring to marketing a small business, they still leave much to be desired-after all, it is their job to sell their ad space, not to build your customer base. While your traffic may increase dramatically with search engine advertising, you might not notice a strong correlation with sales. Building traffic to your website is the first step to getting new customers, but enticing them to buy your product or service is the next so it is imperative that the traffic you receive is interested in your site and knows what they want. If you place all your marketing into increasing
2. Style and usability should work together-your website must be attention-grabbing and easy to use. Americans like to be impressed, so when they find your page, make it excite them. Think about it: when you casually land on a generic website, do you spend time on it or just hit the back button to try to find something better? Your customers will probably click the back button as well if your website is sloppy, uninspiring, or just bland. Have an interactive menu or advertise online-only specials to keep customers open to what you can provide them. Some of the best websites combine professionalism with inspiring, relevant graphics or descriptions to maximize conversions from casual browser to new customer. At the same time, always assume that it is the user's first time trying to do business online. It has to be easy to navigate; if it isn't, your potential customers may feel hassled and will look to send their business elsewhere.
3. Be proud to be local-make sure your ad and targeting reflect the true local nature of your business. Chances are high that many people who find your website are locals, so make them feel at home on your website. You'll capture the interest of more qualified prospects if they know where you are located, when you're open, and your contact information. Don't be afraid to share some of your history or give a statement about your goals and your mission as a company. Not only will this differentiate your business from non-local firms, but the convenience factor of you being near them can give customers a sense of insurance. Consumers who are ready to buy are more likely to be trying to select a store from which to buy and not searching for the product itself (which has already been determined). Be personable and friendly on your site and proudly declare your locality! They already know what they want or need and now it's up to you to do business with them.
4. Use statistics to your advantage-install tracking code on your site that helps you determine which search engines, keywords, ads and campaigns are driving the best and most profitable conversions. As was mentioned in the first secret to success, building traffic is only one element, so what happens next? Once customers are on your site, you need to know where they go, where they spend their time on your site, and what they click. If you install tracking code into your website, you can narrow down exactly what keywords lead specific customers to specific areas of your website. Through this, you can begin to learn the demographics and the interests of your website's visitors and modify your advertising plans accordingly. After you have this data, you can better target your audience by modifying keywords that you use on search engines and fine-tune your advertising campaign based on the general demography of your audience. With statistics and tracking code, you'll also be able to learn what parts of your site are stagnant and which are highly active. Once you know this, you can capitalize on the most profitable areas and either change or eliminate the less profitable areas.
5. Keep your advertising dynamic-use your data and acquired learning to make changes to your campaigns. Nothing is worse than throwing money into a bottomless pit. Many small business owners feel that advertising on a search engine is the only way to advertise online, but fail to realize that this is just the beginning. You have to be dynamic. If you're spending money without earning new revenue and continue to do so, your resources are working against you when they should be working for you. Achieving this isn't as tough as it may see. If your business is seasonal, modify your website accordingly, or if you notice trends in your local market take action to utilize these trends. These short-term solutions will produce long-term dynamic results.
Final Thought The long-term effectiveness of online advertising is more complex and requires a bigger time investment than most choose to accept. Setting up a campaign is the easiest part, but because it is so easy, everyone does it. Reviewing, tracking, testing and changing require not only proper setup and analysis (which is often done incorrectly), but also regular follow-up modifications. All of this becomes a fairly technical undertaking, but because this part is hard, not many are willing to dedicate the extra effort even if it means sacrificing income and future clients. To be honest, if you value your time and money, you probably want to find an expert to help you with all the fine-tuning and analysis. By working with an expert, you'll virtually guarantee that your resources will be used with high-efficiency and will attain the results that you could do on your own--but only after a great deal of frustration and many wasted hours. Once you have an effective website and strong online marketing campaign, you won't have to chase customers; the customers will come to you.

Tips on Finding the Best Shopping Cart For Your Ecommerce Business

Finding the right shopping cart software for your ecommerce site may not be a high priority for you, but it should be. A bad experience for your potential customer means a lost sale for your business. Finding the best shopping cart for your site can be a tedious research task but it's important.
There is no way for you to possibly compare hundreds of different shopping carts for your site, so narrow down your search and decide how many, and which ones you are going to review. If you only have a few items for sale, or your items are digital products, a simple shopping cart program and payment processor like paypal.com or 2checkout.com might be all you need.
However if you offer hundreds of different products in several categories and you expect to grow, you need a shopping cart program that can handle it seamlessly for your customer. Incorporating discounts or coupons might be a factor you need to consider. If you have to ship products you'll need a program that can automatically calculates shipping. Also consider that many people use a different billing address for their credit cards than the ship to address.
Another tip on finding the best shopping cart for your site is to go and look at sites that already are in business! Look at some of the most popular sites and look at more local and/or small business sites as well. Go through the check out process as far as you can without actually purchasing the product.
When you are looking at a specific ecommerce software that you are thinking about buying, check out their site and demos. See how the graphics look and how well they would blend with your website. You'll want to see if the transition from page to page is smooth with no errors or 'page not founds' happening that would cause you to lose out on sales. Also, it is important that the software allows you to design your storefront to look exactly the way you want it to. This should be a definite feature of the shopping cart software you end up with.
Customer support for your business is vital. If something goes wrong with the software you'll want to be able to reach someone immediately and not just fill out a support ticket. Is there a 24/7 chat or phone line available. Is there an email address. Every hour your shopping cart software doesn't work is an hour that you've lost sales.
Another factor to consider is whether you're installing the software on your own server and supporting it yourself or whether you're using the software on the provider's server. If it's own your own server make sure you have the bandwidth to handle it.
What was the best shopping cart experience you ever had? Was there a site that you bought something from that was just super easy and a pleasure to deal with? Try to go back to that store and see if you can find out what shopping cart they are using for their site.
